Best Western Galena Inn & Suites

The absolute best part of this Best Western hotel in Galena is 100% the staff! Everyone was so hospitable and wonderfully accommodating. If you don't want to be in the “busy” section of downtown, the location is great, since it's just a couple minutes drive up the hill. There's a combo indoor/outdoor pool with a hot tub on the first floor; and, our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, my husband and I had a wonderful weekend! Special thanks to Miriam, J. Patel, and Amy. NOTICE: Travelers Beware! There are third-party agencies posing as the Best Western, if you're trying to book this hotel online. You will pay almost double the amount if you book through any company other than Best Western. I highly recommend calling the hotel directly for reservations! They are truly wonderful to work with.

Breakfast being free was a nice bonus. It wasn’t anything gourmet, but the waffles and eggs were filling enough. Coffee could definitely use an upgrade though.

We absolutely love this hotel. We stay every time we come for vacation in Galena. The pool is heated and has a neat opening to swim in your choice of the indoor or outdoor pool which is tons of fun for the kiddos during winter. There's also a hot tub! Breakfast is fairly basic... waffle maker, hot coffee, milk in the fridge, yogurt and a few other things. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I do wish that the TV worked... every time we have gone, we have had to sign into netflix because we can't get service to the TV but we aren't on vacation to watch TV........ can't complain much!! Galena is a beautiful place to visit and we are glad to have found this wonderful hotel. Your own provate entrance, jucuzzi in the room and a warm breakfast.... for the price, you cannot beat that!!!!

The Themed Rooms are the experience, some unexpected surprises in decorations made the trip even more exciting than anticipated. Accommodating with extra towels and blankets was much appreciated. Pool was nice and heated. Breakfast omelettes were good. Great experience, will be coming back!

Amazing experience with our stay! Had a king suite with the hot tub in room. Absolutely loved it!!!! Patio facing the rear wood line. Got to experience several local four legged friends while sitting outside. Very nice workout equipment on site. Gas station next door was very convenient. It’s an older building and it shows a bit. All my experiences with staff were nice. Over all… We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay here and the large hot tub in the Oriental suite was great and so was the double shower. Loved the personal balcony that overlooked snowy woods. It was an amazing experience because it was -2 degrees that morning and we enjoyed the heated pool and were able to swim to the outside area and enjoy the winter stillness and beauty while submerged in warm water, but then swim back into the pool house where it's warm. Very cool experience. We did not try the breakfast so can't speak to that, but everything else was great. It was clean and enjoyable, but it does show some age and wear. Like some of the tiles in the pool were cracked, etc but overall great stay and great value.

Updated on 1.14.26. My wife contracted pink eye, and I have bug bites on my abdomen after staying two nights in the hotel. Not good. Older hotel, front desk reception, Mariam is super nice and very welcoming.

The lady with the tattoos, the gentleman with the beard (front desk) and the nice short Latina housekeeping woman who work Monday in the afternoon are amazing! So cheerful, kind , informative and helpful! I’ve never been to Galena and thanks to these 3 wonderful people, coming here made it a very pleasant experience that I will always remember as long as I live! Thank you Best Western for such a wonderful staff and stay!
